Learning Business Lingo

Business and law school students often focus all of their energy on the material itself, instead of learning how to fit into the industry once they finish their education.

Professor James Donovan of the University of Virginia School of Law explains that the key to being successful in the field is building strong relationships with clients by getting to know their backgrounds, thought processes and opinion.

Lastly, he strongly recommends getting to know the jargon of law and business worlds.

“This way, you won’t be intimidated by business lingo, because it really is a thin veneer- so learn the language!” he says.
